Description

As a Child Care Teacher float staff, you will provide coverage in classrooms when the lead teacher, who also works 4-10 hour days (7am - 5:30pm/30 minute break) is scheduled off.

Responsibilities include working with children age 6 weeks - 5 years, following sub plans from the lead teacher to implement program curriculum.

You will perform daily health observations, report any special needs, supervise children during free play, outdoor play, toileting, napping and other activities of daily care in a positive, appropriate manner.

You will direct children into group activities or towards materials they are using, understand how each child responds to stress and success, and carry out the stated goals, philosophy, policies, and procedures as established by the Davis Board of Directors.

• Lead Teacher qualified is required
• Exudes maturity and professionalism
• Good communication skills
• Shows initiative and creativity
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have satisfactorily completed two courses for credit in early childhood education, or its equivalent at an institution of higher education.
• Must pass a background check

• Experience in group child care setting
• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education
• Bachelor Degree in Education
