_Account Manager - Accelerated Sales Program_

The Accelerated Sales Program is a comprehensive, sales-specific training program designed to fast-track the growth and development of new Outside Sales Representatives/Account Managers.

Participants will work closely with White Cap sales leaders in a 6-12 month program to develop the skills, customer and supplier relationships, and knowledge needed to be successful in outside sales.

  • Participates in classroom, independent study, and onthejob training to learn the White Cap's business model, products, vendors, customer needs, jobsite environment, systems, competitors, pricing, sales approach, and selling skills.
  • Prepares and executes account plans.
  • Sells White Cap value proposition and products.
  • Learns about making effective jobsite or office sales calls by riding along with the District Sales Manager or experienced Account Managers.
  • Enters and processes customer orders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • This position requires operation of a company vehicle or a personal vehicle and such operation is done consistently more than 80% of the average work week. If selected for this position, the company will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field or one to two years of sales or related field experience
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable interacting with team members
  • Requires strong selfgovernance, a proactive approach, personal accountability, and independence.
  • Competitive nature with a drive to succeed
  • Goaloriented with personal accountability to deliver on metrics
  • Open to feedback and willing to take action to improve performance
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize daily activities
  • Spanish language proficiency
