  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts as necessary
  • Testing mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications
  • Working with computer instrumentation to perform diagnostics and execute work worders
  • Welding and fabrication of necessary parts to maintain working order
  • Other duties as assigned

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for all personnel related functions for maintenance employees, including, but not limited to, hiring, firing, and performance appraisals.
  • Performs more than one of these following functions, Welding, Pipe fitting, Mechanic, Electrical, and Preventative maintenance planning.
  • Supervision of all maintenance employees and shifts.
  • Perform maintenance activities including, but not limited to, Pump rebuilds, Preventative Maintenance, Basic installations of pipe, and electric work.
  • Perform basic repairs and upkeep in the Welding, Electrical, Pipe fitting, and Mechanical disciplines.
  • Acts as an assistant to higherlevel maintenance personnel on larger, more complex maintenance activities.
  • Operates a forklift if required and trained.
  • Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.

What Does it Take to Work for Clean Harbors?

  • Plant maintenance experience in one of the following areas: preventative maintenance, installations, welding, electrical, pipefitting, rollingstock/heavy equipment mechanics
  • Demonstrated knowledge in welding or hydraulics
  • Ability to work on weekends and overtime
  • Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including movements such as lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and the manipulating and handling of objects

Pay:
$120, $140,000.00 per year
