The Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University is seeking a Graduate Student Engagement and Events Manager to serve on the Graduate Career Advancement Center team under the direction of the Associate Director of Graduate Student Outreach and Operations. The Graduate Recruitment & Student Services Office is located at the Georgia State University - Buckhead Campus.
HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The ideal candidate will support the graduate student lifecycle with a focus on operations, events, communications and outreach, student career skilling, and employer engagement and will play an integral role in supporting a growing graduate business student community (over 1,600) across the portfolio of 15 graduate programs. The diversity of programs enables Robinson to offer one of the largest and most dynamic portfolios of any business school in the U.S.
Overview of responsibilities includes event planning, logistics, management, and coordination, including the facilitation of contracts, invoices, and securing venues and catering; management of technology tools and systems for communication and information sharing, including content collection, creation, design, multimedia production, quality assurance, continuous improvement, and performance tracking; and guidance of career outcome efforts across the unit and in collaboration with campus partners through email communications, events, career center systems, reporting/tracking, etc.
Major Responsibilities:
Graduate Student Career Events:
Create valuable and engaging programming for current MBA and specialty master's graduate students
Develop in-person and live virtual student career skilling, professional development workshops/bootcamp events, and employer relations events throughout the year in collaboration with campus stakeholders, including academic departments, student engagement, and other university offices.
Collaborate with MarCom, Center Admin, & Business Manager to organize, budget, execute, and promote events, including venue selection and set-up, F&B, promotional items, and managing contracts and invoices.
Utilize technology tools to set up, track, and evaluate student event registration and communications through systems such as 12Twenty and NovoEd.
Deliver After Action Reviews for continuous improvement and manage post-event content, surveys, and communication.
Communication and Outreach:
Create, update, and deliver communications for various channels, including events, and promotions, utilizing systems and tools such as 12Twenty, Slate, NovoEd, CampusReel, chatbot, etc.
Collaborate with school and campus stakeholders to collect program-specific information and tasks for student and employer career events and activities and other communications throughout the student lifecycle.
Create custom branded graphics and collateral in adherence with current MarCom strategy and guidelines. Update and maintain each semester as needed.
Reporting and Operations:
Develop, administer, and analyze evaluations/questionnaires, compile statistics, and prepare reports from feedback from various stakeholders, including students, employers, and faculty.
Build and maintain program-specific timelines/checklists to help students track program experience and career advancement opportunities.
Manage the team's calendar of events from orientation to graduation to ensure proper planning, transparency, and collaboration and avoid event overlap.

A competitive candidate is expected to hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Psychology, or a related field and have three or more years of related experience. Preferred candidates are expected to have prior experience in university career services, college recruiting, marketing, communications, or a related field. Tech skills in tools such as CRMs, EMSs, campus recruitment systems, social media, and illustrator software are preferred.
