The Hart of Catering & Cafe is LGBTQ owned/operated and Recovery Friendly.

One of the owners is seeking an assitant to help execute the daily needs of this small but rapidly growing business.

In the restaurant biz for awhile but tired of the same old same old. Come learn a lot about the catering business; sales, operations, service, back of house, etc.

We have our hands in so much exciting stuff from managing private cafes to the Lombard Swim Club to three of our own exclusive venues to Tea Around Town to everyday catering with big name companies/universities to large social list keeps growing and we've only been in business for two years.

Want to help bring our company to the next level? We need a dynamic, hard-working, and energetic person like you to maximize the minutes in the day.


Job Overview:


Responsibilities:


  • Plan and coordinate catering events, including menu selection, food preparation, and setup
  • Manage catering staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards
  • Oversee inventory management and ordering of supplies
  • Handle customer inquiries, requests, and concerns in a professional manner
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to create innovative and appealing menus
  • Utilize POS systems for order processing and payment handling
  • Monitor and control catering budgets to maximize profitability

Skills:


  • Proven experience in kitchen management, restaurant management, or catering operations
  • Strong culinary skills with the ability to cook and prepare a variety of dishes
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on exceeding client expectations
  • Proficiency in cash handling procedures and financial management
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of catering professionals
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in event planning

Pay:
$ $23.00 per hour
