    Position Overview:
    This role coordinates and manages important legal and strategic materials including construction contracts for our In house counsel.


    Role & Responsibilities:
    Evaluating, negotiating, and drafting/revising construction contracts (prime contracts, subcontracts, professional service agreements, purchase orders, etc.)
    Providing internal contract support to in-house counsel and operations teams, including assembling working contract summaries for operational reference
    Producing, assembling, and submitting legal case materials to outside counsel
    Producing, assembling, and submitting insurance claims materials to outside consultants and insurance claims personnel
    Assisting with internal insurance claim monitoring and coordination
    Researching contract, legal, and mechanics lien issues
    Supporting in-house counsel with statements-of-intent, mechanics liens, lien-waivers and releases, etc
    May be required to attend training, meetings, or seminars

    Skills & Qualifications
    Must be able to organize, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
    Minimum of 1 year experience with construction contract negotiation/management, including AIA construction contracts (A100 series, A201) preferred; prior work with a contractor a plus
    Minimum 4 year college degree required
    Paralegal certificate helpful but not required
    Proofreading skills / attention to detail
    Ability to work independently
    Strong level of research capability and ability to discern and present applicable material
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    High level of discretion and confidentiality

    Compensation:
    $30 - $40/hr.

    This is a part time role with the potential to expand the schedule as the role grows, if interested.


    In addition to offering a competitive base salary, Catamount employees are eligible for additional incentives for merit/performance, new hire referrals, and business development commissions.
