Job Duties
VDOT Bristol District is seeking a motivated individual to be our next Highway Maintenance Supervisor for our Traffic Operations Division.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting system operations by effectively participating in and overseeing the maintenance and installation of pavement markings, pavement messages, roadway signs, and other traffic control devices in accordance with MUTCD and Virginia Supplement.

Emergency Operations and Traffic Management, VDOT is an emergency operation agency. As such, this job is essential to emergency response operations and expected to work in these situations. Report to work when called. Maintain communications with supervisor. Keep abreast of weather forecasts for duty readiness in reporting. Be prepared to operate appropriate equipment in all kinds of weather.
