Part-Time Special Education Teacher Openings (2 Positions) - K-12 Onsite

Location: (Specify location or mention "Onsite within Pennsylvania")

Schedule: Part-time, 16 hours/week (M-Th)

Work Hours: 8:45 AM - 12:45 PM (Note: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM on June 27th)

Start Date: July 1st, 2024 Training Date: June 27th, 2024 (Mandatory) End Date: July 30th, 2024

Positions Available:

1 - Life Skills Support Teacher
1 - Multiple Disabilities Support Teacher

About the Positions:

We are seeking two motivated and qualified part-time Special Education (SPED) teachers to join our team and support students in a K-12 school setting. These positions offer the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with specialized needs while working a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized support and instruction to students with disabilities in a variety of areas, such as life skills, communication, and academics (depending on the position).
Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and parents to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Document progress and maintain accurate records.
Participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

Preferred: Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field.
OR Bachelor's Degree in a related field and eligibility for an emergency Special Education certificate in Pennsylvania (if applicable).
Active License to practice Special Education in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain).
Ability to obtain/complete required PA clearances (Fingerprint Clearance, Child Abuse History Clearance).
Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting is preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in computer software and technology for documentation and data collection.
