Position Overview:

Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company, is seeking a full-time mid-level GIS Specialist to join our Geospatial services team where you can expand your knowledge and accomplish your career goals on our existing and future projects focused throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.
Job Duties:
- Conduct spatial analysis using statistical and/or geoprocessing tools.
- Perform vector and rasterbased spatial data management and processing.
- Contribute to local and regional watershed and land cover analysis projects.
- Create and format mapping data and products for engineers, scientists, and archeologists.
- Maintain existing python scripting and collaborate to improve and innovate through automation.
Qualifications:
Ideal Background
- Degree in or related to GIS, Geography, Environmental Sciences, and/or a Professional Certificate in GIS
Preferred
- Experience with ESRI desktop ArcMap and ArcPro, ESRI ArcGIS Online, ESRI FieldMaps, Survey123, Autodesk/AutoCAD, and MS Excel
- Interest in remote sensing, image analysis and LiDAR processing.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Superior organizational skills with attention to detail
- Desire to problem solve and take initiative to help team members and provide best possible deliverables to client
