The Role:
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key decision makers and business stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics needs
- Manage the daily operations of the Business Intelligence team and foster a high performance and personal growth culture
- Design data models that meet analytic requirements and support efficient querying
- Own the Business Intelligence reporting tools and ensure they are designed and configured for optimal performance
- Establish operational procedures and best practices for the team to follow
- Design and develop actionable reports, dashboards and data visualizations that provide insights to end users
- Manage business intelligence projects to ensure they meet business requirements and are delivered on time
- Implement data quality monitoring tools to ensure the accuracy and recency of data
- Create and maintain end user documentation including a data dictionary, report inventory, data lineage, etc.
- Conduct end user training sessions and ongoing support to users of the business intelligence platform
- Collaborate with infrastructure and information security teams to implement solutions to ensure our platform and data are secure
- Stay updated with the latest business intelligence and analytics trends
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience and a proven track record of success in technology related field
- 1+ year(s) direct people management experience
- Strong expertise in business intelligence concepts, tools, and methodologies
- Expertise in various BI reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker
- Experience with dbt or similar data transformation tools and techniques
- Understanding of dimensional data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing architecture
- Experience writing and optimizing complex SQL statements in a cloud data warehouse environment such as Snowflake or Redshift
- Experience working with various services in AWS such as S3, Cloudwatch, MWAA, RDS
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to collaborate with business stakeholders
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
