Summary:


  • Responsible for facilitating a positive guest experience through reservations, checkins, concierge services, and checkouts.
  • Be an effective communications hub and coordinator for guest activities while visiting Wessex Hundred.
  • MUST have open availability (to include nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • This position is classified as parttime or as needed with the opportunity for fulltime.

Organizational Relationship

  • Report directly to the Hospitality Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain hotel inventory and ensure guest reservations are in order
  • Make guest reservations for stays at Wedmore Place over the phone
  • Conduct prearrival calls and ensure that any special requests have been met/planned for and that any applicable charges are properly accounted for
  • Coordinate tours and tastings, restaurant reservations, massage appointments, or other additional services with the appropriate departments or contractors
  • Register guests upon arrival, following standard operating procedures
  • Accommodate guest requests (i.e. ice for room, fire in fireplace as weather permits, etc.)
  • Respond to guest complaints promptly and professionally as directed by the Hospitality Manager
  • Checkout guests promptly, charging credit cards and handling cash payments
  • Complete closing paperwork per Company procedures, working with Finance and Administration to ensure accuracy
  • Assist with group bookings in collaboration with the Events Department and Hospitality manager
  • Be knowledgeable and comfortable in Front Desk software
  • Other tasks as may be necessary

Occupational Health and Safety

  • Ensure that the work environment is safe and without risks to the health and safety of all employees. Immediately report any deficiencies to the Hospitality Manager and to the maintenance staff.
  • Comply with relevant workplace safety regulations.

Security

  • Ensure that the outside cameras are properly monitored
  • Ensure that the building is locked each night in accordance with Company policy
  • Monitor the presence and activities of outside personnel such as maintenance workers and delivery people
