    As a Pastry Cook, you will play a vital role in creating exquisite desserts and pastries that delight our discerning guests. With your passion for baking, creativity, and attention to detail, you will contribute to the culinary excellence and reputation of our establishment by producing high-quality pastries that elevate the dining experience to new heights of indulgence and luxury.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in preparing a variety of breads, desserts, and pastries according to established recipes and portion control standards.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the preparation area, including proper storage and labeling of ingredients, and regular cleaning of equipment and work surfaces.
    • Support in receiving and inspecting deliveries to ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients, promptly reporting any issues or discrepancies.
    • Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation regulations, including the proper handling of perishable items, temperature control, and safe storage of food products.
    • Follow standard operating procedures and kitchen guidelines meticulously to uphold consistency and quality in food preparation.
    • Demonstrate a strong, upbeat, and positive personality while embodying a commitment to high standards with impeccable attention to detail.
    • Exhibit a genuine passion for food, beverage, and hospitality, contributing to a vibrant and dynamic culinary team environment.

    Required Experience

    • Previous experience as a pastry cook or baker in a fine dining restaurant, hotel, or pastry shop preferred.
    • Formal culinary training or certification in pastry arts or baking preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including mixing, baking, decorating, and plating.
    • Creativity and artistic flair, with a passion for creating visually stunning and delicious pastry creations.
    • Attention to detail and precision in pastry production and presentation.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the business.
    • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety.

    Working Conditions/Environment

    • The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day .
    • Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
    • The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
