    Location: Olympia, WA. Flexible/Hybrid schedule.

    The Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) is looking for a Learning Management System Coordinator to lead implementation and policy development of the Professional Development Training System (LMS) and training content availability in partnership with state and community agencies

    The Opportunity:
    In this role, you will implement community-informed online learning solutions to meet the needs of geographically, culturally, and linguistically diverse communities. This includes successful administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), providing analysis and recommendations using training data, and collaborative community engagement.

    Some of what you will get to do:
  • Manage the design and development of deliverables related to professional learning online content development.
  • Partner with contractors and stakeholders to ensure the development of instructionally sound, interactive, and engaging course components that meet the needs of linguistically and culturally diverse learners.
  • Develop business processes, forms, communications, and presentations.
  • Provide project management for LMS-related projects, and document work within a project management application.
  • Develop processes to ensure the LMS is implemented with quality standards to meet workforce needs.
  • Manage continuous quality improvement of the LMS and content resource library.
  • Prepare LMS training materials on the use and navigation.
  • Conduct reviews and revision recommendations on LMS and courses.
  • Work with partners to enhance functionality and design.
  • Facilitate workgroups, engage stakeholders of diverse interests, document feedback and recommendations, and document strategies related to LMS needs.
  • What we are looking for:
    A Bachelor's degree or higher in public policy, education, instructional design, educational technology, or a related field, and demonstrated experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or related fields. AND four years of experience developing and managing projects, implementing programs, and conducting data analysis.
    OR
    An Associate's degree, AND six or more years of experience in developing and managing projects, implementing programs, instructional design and conducting data analysis.
    OR
    Equivalent education and experience totaling eight years.

    Degree must be obtained from an accredited college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or foreign equivalent verified by a NACES-approved organization at .

    Foreign Equivalency certification must be attached to the application for degrees obtained outside the U.S. Incomplete applications may be screened out of the recruitment process.

    In addition to those required qualifications, our ideal applicant will also have some or all of the following:
  • Demonstrated experience writing procedures, contracts, handbooks, and general communication documents.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Demonstrated professional experience and knowledge working with adult learners and culturally diverse communities.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the early learning field gained from professional DCYF experience.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of child care licensing program policies, higher education policies, early childhood education, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in research, data collection, and evaluation processes.
  • Demonstrated experience working with professional development registry systems.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and synthesizing data to support policy decisions
