Description

The Maintenance Tech III plays a crucial role at Hope Network handling diverse tasks such as minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, remodeling, and furniture moving, among others. They are also responsible for inventory control and equipment/supplies pick up and delivery.

The successful Maintenance Tech III is characterized by a high level of integrity, positivity, and a genuine impact on a daily basis, contributing to the company's overall objectives.




ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role involves various responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, always maintaining a courteous and professional attitude towards both internal and external customers.
  • Familiarity with AFC Licensing Rules and Regulations.
  • Travel to multiple locations in Michigan for maintenance assessments and repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and provide solutions to a wide range of repair and maintenance issues.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor to address work orders promptly and coordinate tasks with program staff.
  • Assess repair needs during program visits and report any potential issues to the Program Manager.

Perform a variety of facility repairs including:


o Installation: light fixtures, electrical outlets, shelving, garage door openers

o Electrical: repair and replacement

o Plumbing: repair and replacement

o Repair/Replace: linoleum tile, toilets, sinks, faucets, blinds

o Carpentry: decks, cabinets, bookcases

o Décor: painting, wall hangings, window treatments

o Maintenance: molding, weather-stripping, caulking, power washing, cleaning

o Moving / Storage: relocation of furniture and equipment

  • Assist in program open/close activities as necessary
  • Trim shrubs and trees as directed
  • Support in program openings/closings, facility audits, and vendor procurement when required
  • Report safety concerns to management promptly
  • Provide accurate cost estimates
  • Coordinate external maintenance vendors
  • Manage specific projects as assigned
  • Conduct fire prevention checks
  • Handle groundskeeping and snow removal tasks
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Maintain repair documentation and internal reports
  • Utilize tools and materials appropriately
  • Manage credit card use and reconcile expenses
  • Order and collect equipment and supplies
  • Stay considerate of consumers during projects
  • Keep up with training and event requirements
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities
  • Perform inspections as requested
  • Supervise consumer employees if needed
  • Demonstrate professionalism at all times
  • Adhere to health information regulations
  • Complete other assigned duties

Educational / Talent Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED Certificate, or equivalent experience
  • Complete and maintain necessary trainings, certifications, and credentials
  • Possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel independently
  • Strong teamwork, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Exercise good judgment and discretion
  • Excellent communication skills
