Starting pay is $20.00 per hour depending on experience. $1,000 Signing Bonus Available for reliable, absent free performance after 90 days***
Responsibilities (will vary by machine type):

• Follow highly detailed written job instructions.
• Review, verify and inspect all materials (papers, films, inks, etc.) used to produce the job in accordance with written job instructions.
• Mount printing plates, cutting dies and inline slitting devices with precision and care not to damage.
• Stage raw materials (paper, film, packaging, carton labels, etc.) in accordance with the needs indicated in the job instructions. In some instances, this may involve heavy lifting or the moving of materials by way of dolly, cart or crane.
• Set up and operate the Flexographic Printing Presses, Label Die Cutting Units or Rewinding Equipment in accordance with detailed processes and procedures to start a production cycle.
• Conduct initial "setup" run, inspect and obtain secondary inspection and supervisor approval prior to entering full production mode.
• Control, monitor and adjust equipment speeds, ink flow, tensions, pressures, etc., throughout production runs in order to maintain approved and acceptable quality while maximizing productivity and efficiency and minimizing material waste and downtime.
• Maintain manual or computerized production logs throughout the production run.
• Continually inspect product for quality during production run.
• Remove printed and, or, blank die cut labels from equipment. Inspect and pack into cartons boxes per job instructions. Affix carton labels, load onto pallets and move to designated inspection, finishing or shipping locations.
• Clear equipment and prepare for next job or shift.
• Maintain clean equipment and organized workspace at all times.
• Review completed jobs and communicate any production or equipment issues to Supervisor.

Background, Experience, Skills Required:

• Previous experience operating Flexographic Printing Presses or related equipment or complex machinery is preferred, BUT WILL TRAIN CANDIDATE with MECAHNICAL APTITUDE and a WILLINGNESS TO LEARN
• Ability to read English and comprehend and follow detailed written job instructions.
• Understanding of, and ability to use basic math.
• Must have proven history of reliable and punctual attendance in previous work.
• Attention to detail and a willingness to adhere to established quality guidelines.
• Ability to work well with others and a willingness to work within a team oriented environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be willing to stand for long periods of time with bending, kneeling and squatting.
• Some moderate lifting is needed throughout the day. Ability to lift 3060 pounds.
