JOB SUMMARY:


The ReStore Assistant Manager is responsible for coordinating store volunteers, managing receiving dock area, maintaining a clean and safe facility, ensuring sales and donations receiving activities run smoothly and efficiently, monitoring pricing of donation items, supervising ReStore staff and volunteers, and providing superior customer service to customers and donors.

Serves as manager in charge of the store when the ReStore Manager is not on site.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Evaluate condition/acceptability of incoming donations, both by investigating over the phone and in person when accepting donations
  • Schedule volunteers and coordinating volunteer activities ReStore volunteers
  • Recruit new ReStore volunteers
  • Recognize, appreciating, and accommodating ReStore volunteers
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers by providing highquality customer service
  • Answer customer questions regarding the ReStore in general and specific items
  • Ability to provide friendly customer service, assisting in loading purchases and unloading donations.
  • Operate cash register to ring up customers
  • Move materials from warehouse to store floor
  • Participate in the development and implementation of strategic goals
  • Price materials to be sold
  • Display merchandise in a way that maximizes sales
  • Ensure that all areas of the store/warehouse are safe, clean, and organized
  • Work to continually improve overall appearance of our facility and maximize our efficiency
  • Serve as manager in charge of the store when store manager is not on site

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE:


  • Minimum 2 years retail experience
  • Minimum 1year supervisory experience
  • High School Diploma required.

  • The entire job takes place in Retail warehouse operation. The cooling is adequate in the summer, but it will get hot and muggy at times during summer months. Winter gets a little cold, dress warm in layers in the winter.
  • Dress code is casual and comfortable; no sandals or open shoes allowed
