Position Summary


The Job Developer's primary role is to work in collaboration with FACT, FACT's clients, Regional Centers, DOR, and key community partners to successfully connect clients with employment opportunities that match their skill sets and interests.

In addition, the Job Developer will research, identify, and solicit commitments from potential employment sources.

Every interaction will be an opportunity to create a great impression of FACT and our programs.

Strong multi-tasking is necessary as you will report directly to the Program/Case Manager and work closely with the Director of Adult Services, our Direct Support Professionals, our clients, and various community stakeholders.


Task/Competency

  • Maintains client's confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.

Community Outreach Coordinator Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

This is an in-person position with some potential remote hours.

Provide transportation to program participants as needed in company vehicles.

Manage and maintain a list of potential and current community partnerships for the department.

Ensure that our Community-Based Day Programs have at least 2 active partnerships.

Conduct community outreach to secure volunteer, internship, and employment opportunities for individual program participants.

Coordinate with program/case managers to match the needs of potential and current FACT clients.

  • Attend career fairs and other recruiting and marketing events as required.
  • Submit appropriate forms and documents to Human Resources for Onboarding and Orientation.
  • Partner with Program/Case Managers regarding program development.
  • Assist in creating social media content to highlight FACT's community involvement and celebrate our participants' successes.
  • Conduct regular outreach meetings and attend community events to connect with local businesses and employers.

Job Developer Primary Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship and Intake_

Evaluate and understand each client's background, skills, and interests.

Periodically conducts intake and needs assessment meetings with each job seeker, and updates individual service plans based on their skills and goals.

Provide background information regarding potential employers and the specific employment.

Conduct interviews to determine placement suitable for specific occupations or career paths and help to create participant/employer-driven leads to move participants to employment.

Consult with clients and employers after interviews to gather feedback and maximize placement opportunities for both internships and integrated competitive employment opportunities.

Cooperates and consults with the current circle of support on behalf of the client as an integral member of the team coordinating job development and career training.

Works with FACT, case managers, and job coaches to identify and evaluate job accommodations and strategies to remove obstacles and barriers to the client's self-sufficiency on the job.

Serves as advocate and liaison for clients with disabilities utilizing employer incentives designed to help applicants with disabilities. Community Relationships and Administration

Participates in the Supported Employment provider certification process through DOR.

Manage all aspects of Supported Employment Services, once approved.

Complete and/or oversee all case management duties for clients seeking employment support outside of Tailored Services, GAP, or Supported Living Services.

Develops and maintains positive relationships with employers, organizations, and public agencies to secure employment and proper vocational training opportunities for clients.
**Collaborates with DOR and Regional Center to assist clients with achieving employment goals as established by DOR Counselor
