Description
Benefits Specialist:
- Process various claims (Medical, Prescription, Hearing, HRA, etc) for two different Health Funds. Interact with participants and healthcare providers verbally, by fax or in writing as needed and when necessary.
- Disability Claims
- Process and maintain participant short term and long term disabilities, periodically request medical documentation, track participant's eligibility and hours to ensure if member returned to work. Interact with Medical Consultant on approvals needed. Run disability checks every week.
- Process both Funds weekly and monthly benefit checks and EOB's for participants and providers.
- Mail, Fax, and Process Providers' W9 Tax Forms into company software. Prepare and mail New Hire Packets.
- Customer Service for Participants and/or Providers
- Assist with Telephone and In-Person inquiries pertaining to all Welfare Fund Benefits, including eligibility, coordination of benefits, and claim inquiries.
- Maintaining Participant Files
- Pulling, sorting and filing of confidential participant documentation.
- Process participant's beneficiary information, enrollment documentation and annual dependent reenrollments. Track data onto spreadsheets.
- Process Death Benefit notifications to beneficiaries, death benefit claim and mail out death benefit payments.
- Process reciprocities request and send hours for participants working out of the territory.
- Process HRA Enrollments and Benefits and update participants eligibility as needed.
- Monthly COBRA mailings and payment processing.
- Assist Welfare Benefit Manager on day to day tasks, annual mailings and as needed projects.
- Assist other Departments with mailings and other tasks as needed.
Job Requirements:
- 3 years customer service/administrative experience
- 3 years claims processing experience
- Strong customer service & communication skills
- Computer savvy
- Quality Data Entry skills, thoroughness & confidentiality
- Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Requirements:
**Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 am
- 4:30 pm (35 hours/week) *In Office**

Salary:
$45k - $50k Depending on experience
Must pass drug test & background check.
Pay:
$45, $50,000.00 per year
