As a School Mental Health Therapist, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference in students' lives and support their academic and social success. With over 15 years of doing school-based therapy, ACP is an established agency with long-term partnerships with over 50 schools in the Dakota County area. In this role, you will be working in elementary and middle schools.

    What you will do:

    • Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments and develop focused treatment plans in a fast-paced school setting
    • Provide individual and family therapy to students (ages in Dakota County schools
    • Consult and collaborate with school staff as a mental health team member
    • Utilize evidence-based practices and creative interventions to address mental/behavioral health, chemical health, and academic success
    • Support students in developing resilience, emotional regulation, and coping skills
    • Opportunities for group work

    What you will bring:

    • Strong clinical skills and a passion for working with youth and families
    • A desire for teaming and strong communication skills
    • Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related clinical field and are on track to become an LMFT, LPCC, or LICSW
    • Timely submission of documentation of services
    • Experience working with children and adolescents is ideal, but an interest in learning and developing is most important
    • A valid driver's license, possess auto insurance, and be open to travel within the Twin Cities metro area
