Quality Assurance Technician - Lake Zurich, United States - Outerwild

Description

• Able to understand and use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauging, etc.
• Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspection of tight tolerance production parts.
• Performs QA inspection at 1st article, inprocess, and shop floor to assure conformance to print specifications.
• Audits various manufacturing processes to assure compliance to customer specifications.
• Maintains and updates inspection logs and records as necessary.
• Initiates nonconformance reports (NCRs) and followsup to final disposition of nonconforming materials.
• Responsible for complying with the department's existing policies, procedures, and methods.
• Assists manager and/or department staff by providing document support, such as filing, and data entry.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of Quality experience in manufacturing
• Ability to reason and analyze to pinpoint defects
• Ability to read and interpret dimensional drawings
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
• Knowledge of basic measuring tools such as Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, etc.
• Basic computer skills including Word, and Excel.
• Ability to operate and / or program a Zeiss or Mahr CMM is a definite plus.
