GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for assisting the Assistant Manager/Planner on the initiation, planning,
execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of all projects. This position will report
directly to the Assistant Manager/Planner.
- Correspond with existing clients and suppliers regarding new or existing projects via
- Coordinate with suppliers about receiving components.
- Create items, work order instructions, BOMs and any other steps needed for the
- Plan and purchase all components using MRP.
- Generate excel reports for the Assistant Manager/ Planner on a weekly and monthly
- Adjust/change loads per customer request and/or per demand needs.
- Handle scrap management and communication with suppliers.
- Support Assistant Manager/Planner with inventory tracking and date extension requests.
- Work with QA to verify new components when received and report back to our customer.
- Coordinate with the production manager, for special events and deadlines.
- Issue and upload work orders weekly for production.
- Manage component inventory with cycle counts, requesting and submitting for
- Provide weekly inventory reports for all suppliers.
- Keep records of documents, keep organized files, both hard copies and electronic files.
- Gather End of Month inventories and cost of components when components are
- Process all the Schedule A pricing to all sites and to client (including working with
- Have oneonone meetings with suppliers.
- Participate in daily and weekly meetings with the client.
- Communicate with the Production and QA Department with any updates.
- Manage hold tags, contact suppliers, and provide a prompt disposition of product.
- Coordinate shipments and in person meetings with suppliers to provide corrugated
- Create and provide instructions to Quality Assurance for client sampling.
- In the absence of the Assistant Manager/Planner, the Procurement Coordinator will cover
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of Plex and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
preferred
Pay:
From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
