- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- Current and valid California state Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license
- At least one (1) year recent experience as a CLS.
- Conducts pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing of all complexities with minimal supervision.
- Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure proper handling.
- Holds accountability for testing and test data, quality control and assurance, maintenance, and all related operations.
- Operates, monitors, and maintains laboratory equipment.
- Monitors supply and reagent and collaborates with the management team to support the day-to-day operations.
- Troubleshoots laboratory instruments as necessary.
- Displays competency and proficiency of fundamental clinical laboratory procedures.
- Instructs and trains new employees.
- Works in a professional and cooperative manner.
- Complies with all laboratory safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and standards.
