Job Summary*:Supports the Deputy Chief, School Climate and Culture, and the Director, Restorative Practices, in overseeing various strategic initiatives related to restorative practices and the Relationships First school wide program.

Collaborates with leaders in the Offices of School Climate and Culture, Office of Prevention and Intervention, and Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities as required for implementation and support of restorative initiatives.

Oversees the collaboration with the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to ensure alignment and a strong focus on equity in all programming.

Supports development and implementation of school plans as pertains to climate and restorative justice-practices, including collaboration with other offices and training and support of staff.

Supports the Relationships First team and school-based staff and leaders in schools implementing Relationships First with preparation, execution, and follow-up for Tier 1 MTSS meetings.


Essential Functions:


  • Assists with overseeing and coordinating designated restorative justicepractices initiatives and activities.
  • Collaborates with other members of the Office of School Climate and Culture Leadership team to plan and implement restorative programming in schools
  • Supports the Director of Restorative Practices in the development and implementation of the Relationships First program model and the training and support of Relationships First coaches.
  • Supervises staff in the implementation of supports to schools around climate and violence prevention.
  • Liaises with the district's Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Develops and implements professional development for coaches and school-based staff as needed.

  • Provides direct coaching support to schools as a member of the Relationships First coaching team.
  • Supports Central Office and schoolbased staff in the implementation of Tier 1 MTSS meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Restorative Practices.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements*:


  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Four years of fulltime, paid, professional experience organizing or implementing prevention and intervention services for public safety.
OR

  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Talent.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities*:

Demonstrated knowledge of:

o evidence-based school-wide climate programming, including such as positive behavior interventions and supports, restorative practices and social-emotional learning.

o the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) process. o the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) school plans and planning process. o equity.

o the use of data to guide climate decision-making.
