Who We Are Looking For
Melinated Moms is searching for a Communication Specialist Consultant for our ever-expanding organization. The potential enthusiastic Communications Specialist will manage our external and internal communications. You will promote a positive public image and control the dissemination of information on our company's behalf.

Phenomenal communication and copywriting skills make a strong communications specialist. Experience in corporate communications and project management are important qualities too. Your enthusiasm and positive attitude will help you gain the trust of executives and external parties alike.


Skills and Competencies as a Melinated Moms Communications Specialist Consultant

• Develop and implement a communication strategy that includes media outreach and social media content creation
• Attending weekly to biweekly planning meetings both online and inperson with managing staff and key players
• Research and write press releases, and content for the company website, infographics, blogs, and newsletters
• Managing an ongoing 120day social media calendar with content planned for all Melinated Moms platforms at least 30 days in advance
• Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of Melinated Moms' policies, principles, and strategies, and keep uptodate with relevant developments
• Arrange and coordinate press conferences, and plan events
• Capturing realtime content for social media at events, training, workshops, and conferences
• Facilitate the resolution of disputes with external roleplayers
• Adhere to Melinated Moms' style guide, ensuring that we produce a highquality and errorfree copy
• Work with key internal roleplayers to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the Melinated Moms' strategy and support various brand initiatives
• Support and evaluate the results of communication campaigns with the team
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists and key external roleplayers

Communications Specialist Consultant Qualifications:

• 4 years experience in communications strategy development (essential)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in Canvas, Slack, Adobe Suite (Creative and InDesign), and Final Cut Pro is a must
• Experience with Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, X (formerly known as Twitter), and Pinterest social media platforms is a must
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
• Must have excellent writing and editing skills
• Content writing experience for all media platforms
• Proven social media and networking expertise
• Strategic and creative mindset
• Meticulous attention to detail
• A portfolio of work and a sample writing of work requested

THIS IS A TEMP-TO-PERM POSITION. CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL TO THE DMV AREA TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE ROLE.
This is an independent contractor position and compensation. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.


Hours and Rates

• Compensation is from
  $29/hr $35/hr based on experience
• Working hours are up to 30 hours per week. Some weekend work may be required
