**Position Description:**

This is a hybrid onsite role that can be completed from the any CGI office in the Eastern Time Zone.

CGI is seeking a senior Azure databricks engineer with Synapse skillset. The developer will rely on their growing technical skills and experience to design, estimate, present and deliver technical solutions with clean, well-organized and expressive code to CGIs customer base. The developer will be working with our client to understand their business needs and help deliver value though technology. The candidate should we very articulate about the technologies that come into play and capable of providing direction on this space.

**Your future duties and responsibilities:**

8+ years of team-oriented development experience in a relational database environment

5+ years of experience with Databricks and Synapse

6+ years of experience in Python

6+ years of experience in Spark

6+ years of hands on experience with data ingestion, data scrubbing, data

Strong understanding relational databases, data warehouses, and data modeling

Familiarity with cloud-based services (AWS) and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)

Experience with Agile software development, Scrum, Microsoft DevOps for managing code and user stories preferred.

Experience in financial services or securities industry with knowledge of investment products preferred

Deliver high quality work and adapt to new challenges, as an individual or as part of a team

Excellent communication skills.

**Required qualifications to be successful in this role:**

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $85,800- $$185,800
