The Role

Lamar Johnson Collaborative (LJC) is looking to hire an Architectural Designer 2 to join our team in Chicago as a contributor to a variety of design projects, research, and conduct analysis to support our diverse and innovative Industrial Design practice.

Role Responsibilities

Develop design elements of projects and/or construction drawings for projects under supervision of a licensed senior architect.
Interface with contractors, consulting engineers, and the internal team to deliver exceptional quality through consistent communication.
May provide technical supervision only to junior designers in developing design and proposal materials.

Qualifications:

Architectural Designer 2 at LJC possess:

Bachelors degree (Architecture or related field), or foreign equivalent.
8 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated competence with computerbased rendering and drafting tools (Revit and AutoCAD); Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign); MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); and developing construction documents.
Domestic travel required up to 5% of work schedule.
Position allows for occasional telecommuting within reasonable commuting distance of the reporting office in Culver City, CA.
