Client is a Government Services Company

Our Government Services client (the prime) is seeking a Hybrid Help Desk Technician to support them and their government customer (NMRC) in Silver Spring, MD (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)


Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Tier I and Tier II (occasional Tier III) Help Desk support during normal business hours Monday
  • Fridays, excluding holidays.
  • Support Incident, Problem, and Request Management process leveraging the ITIL service framework and bestbusiness practices.
  • Utilization of ticketing system.
  • Provide End User Development (EUD) support service and incident resolution remotely and through touch labor services to ensure that the end user operation environment is functional.
  • Installing and connecting desktop and laptops, and other peripherals to the network, wiping and rebuilding infected desktops, software installation, and assisting users with services and products.
  • Repair desktops/laptops, printers, scanners, and other approved peripherals.
  • Identify repair part(s) and provide a suggested source to the MID management team for their purchase.
  • Image all new computers with the current approved NMRC operating system and ensure all applicable IAVA patches and endpoint security software are applied before issuance.
  • Backup data before working on any equipment and make every effort to maintain the user's data without loss during repair of equipment.
  • Provide network printer/Multifunction Device (MFD) support.
  • Ensure all network printers/MFD are configured in accordance with appropriate DISA STIG prior to adding to the network.

Qualifications Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

  • 5 years of experience in a related field preferred.
  • Will be helping NMRC with tier I and tier II support (occasionally tier III).
  • Will be handling help desk issues including but not limited to: desktops, laptops, peripherals, patching computers, iPhones, multifunction printers, installing upgrades, backing up data, troubleshooting Microsoft 36
  • This IT shop/help desk will support all of NMRC's 100+ labs across the world
  • The 2 primary cert requirements for this position are 1)
    active secret clearance, and 2)
    active CompTIA Security+ CE certification (The security+ must have the
    CE **designation; this is a hard requirement per the customer)
  • This will be a standard 3 days onsite 2 days remote hybrid position.
Onsite work will be done in Silver Spring MD at: 503 Robert Grant Ave, Silver Spring, MD

  • This is an hourly position, and they pay rate is: $ $38.46 per hour
  • Core hours will be Monday
  • Friday,
  • These roles are part of a 5 year contract and we are the Prime (1 base year and 4 option years)
  • Expert with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • National Agency Check with Local Credit Checks (NACLC)/Tier 3
