    Description

    Department: Family Practice Clinic - SRMC

    FTE: 0.60
    Part Time
    Shift: Days

    Position Summary: Perform a variety of front and back office clerical duties in support of assigned area including collecting patient data, obtaining medical history, performing treatment procedures, preparing instruments for sterilization, coordinating appointments, and verifying medical coverage. Ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may involve neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.

    Detailed Responsibilities:

    • PATIENT SAFETY 1 - Follow patient safety policies, procedures, and protocols
    • RELATED WORK - Perform necessary duties
    • PATIENT SAFETY 2 - Proactively improve patient safety
    • CASHIER - Handle basic cashiering tasks
    • PATIENT SAFETY 3 - Report environmental conditions that may risk patients
    • PATIENT SAFETY 4 - Report safety concerns promptly
    • PATIENT SAFETY 5 - Encourage patient participation in care
    • PATIENT CARE - Assist in patient care processes
    • DATA - Enter and verify data accurately
    • ENVIRONMENT - Maintain cleanliness and order
    • CUSTOMER SERVICE - Ensure customer satisfaction
    • MEDICATION - Administer medication following guidelines
    • PATIENT CENTERED MED - Adhere to patient-centered practices

    Qualifications

    Education:
    Essential:
    - High School or GED Equivalent
    - Program Graduate
    - Course

    Education Specialization:
    Essential:
    - MA accredited program graduate or 2 years MA experience
    - UNMH MA Safe Med Admin Course Completion within 90 Days

    Experience:
    Essential:
    No minimum experience required

    Nonessential:
    - Bilingualism preferred
    - 2 years directly related experience

    Credentials:
    Essential:
    - CPR certification within 30 days
    - Medical Assistant certification

    Physical Conditions:
    Heavy Work: Requires significant physical exertion

    Working Conditions:
    Essential:
    - Exposure to hazards requiring PPE
    - Travel to various work sites may be necessary
    - Limited access to medical room
    - Rotation of work shifts
