Position Description:


Promotes continued Team Member engagement and bring success to GCNA's business lines by providing Team Members with the tools necessary to be successful in their careers.

Manages Career Coaches who will identify long-term goals that support Team Members on their path toward their education, training, and employment goals.

Responsible for developing processes, data management systems, internal collaborative partnerships, and programmatic management and oversight of this strategic initiative.

This position ensures the success of this collaborative effort and that the day-to-day operations of Team Member service delivery are fulfilled.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals.
  • Implements measurements of effectiveness and return on investment of training programs, providing reporting and feedback.
  • When applicable, reports on training spending and deliverables.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and Concur reports for company vehicles as provided.
  • Engages with internal partners and leaders to identify appropriate training and support for GCNA Team Members.
  • Establishes trusting interdepartmental relationships and develops processes for implementing, tracking, and ensuring Team Member and business line success.
  • Ensures that the My Career Matters team delivers excellent customer service.
  • When needed, facilitates training for Career Coaches and Team Members enrolled in GCNA career services programs, and its affiliates.
  • In collaboration with the Mission Services team, identifies and develops strategy for communicating with other department leaders about training programs.
  • Contributes to team meetings and organizational discussions in ways that impact results and inform good decisionmaking practices.
  • Attends Retail and ROC Leader meetings to develop strong relationships with Retail Leadership.
  • Attends My Career Matters specific meetings as applicable to ensure the program includes key stakeholders and all territories are standardized.
  • Coordinates and works collaboratively with L&D and Leadership to understand the gaps between business and Team Member needs. Connects Team Members with training and services applicable to career growth and development.
  • Maintains frequent and consistent communication and monitors for successful indicators that Team Members are on track to retain employment and their career success planning.
  • Works closely with interdepartmental agency leaders to ensure transitions from one service to the next have been sufficiently vetted and agreed upon by all appropriate Team Members.
  • Ensures data entry and case file management policies and procedures are adhered to. Monitors Team Members for compliance with all other documentation requirements.
  • Monitors, analyzes and reports on organizational, departmental, and team metrics established to track performance and inform datadriven decisions for sustainability and growth opportunities.
  • Partners with the Director of Career Services to create continuous strategies and tactics for effective and efficient execution of operations and program growth based on participant and program needs.
  • Ensures all Team Members can access and participate in professional development and training within and outside of GCNA, if desired.
  • Maintains complete and accurate records of all Team Members using existing databases. Strictly adheres to all data entry requirements set forth by GCNA and adheres to confidentiality protocols related to electronic and paper files and documents.
  • Creates a reporting system to track District Managers and Regional District Directors participating in the My Career Matters program.
  • Travels to Northern Arizona and Yuma markets to observe process and adjust/train as needed.
  • Travels to stores daily, including the Retail Operations Center (ROC) to ensure processes are being followed.
  • Assists Mission Services leadership with other training initiatives or special projects.
  • Develops a logistic/traveling strategy for rollout and maintenance of the program to GCNA retail stores and other Goodwill locations.
  • Responsible for performance management (coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews), staffing, compensation, and development of Team Members.
  • Plays an active role in Career Center Leader meetings.
  • Applies expertise in adult learning to continuously improve training and implement highquality standards for the learning experience.
  • Leads biweekly meetings with the Career Coaches, including the Northern Arizona career center Managers, to discuss best practices and overcoming challenges.
  • Crosstrains all Career Coaches for My Career Matters intake process and support.
  • Works with Learning and Development on the design of programspecific curriculum and facilitation.
