The Communications Analyst participates in the development and dissemination of communications to attract and engage targeted audiences, with the objective of enhancing awareness and influencing change.

Participates in the implementation of communication projects and ensures content aligns with the enterprise brand strategy and brand architecture. Collects and analyzes data to measure communication campaign effectiveness for return-on-investment.


Responsibilities:


  • Drafts and distributes internal and external communications content across multiple channels including print, digital and social media. Ensures that all communications and marketing materials are in line with the organization's branding guidelines. Provides internal and/or external feedback channels across a variety of communications vehicles.
  • Analyzes and interprets a broad array of communications data, produces reports, and leverages the data to inform strategic decision making.
  • Participates in the planning and implementation of projects to support communications initiatives across business units. Monitors and measures the effectiveness of communications strategies and tactics and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborates with colleagues across the enterprise to develop and implement communications strategies and tactics in support of business unit goals. Provides support for management and the communications team, as needed.
  • Supports the training and development of volunteers in accordance with organizational goals and designs opportunities to leverage communications channels to maximize volunteer engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in managing multiple digital platforms including the AARP volunteer portal, Cvent, and Salesforce, with strong computer skills required for setting up, testing, and monitoring digital initiatives.
  • Must be capable of supporting both virtual and inperson events effectively.
  • Must ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and is effective in reaching and engaging diverse audiences.
  • Skilled in analyzing communication metrics and producing detailed reports to assess the effectiveness of communication strategies.
  • Must be proactive in researching and implementing innovative communication methods to enhance audience engagement and continuously improve communication efforts.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)
AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.


Compensation and Benefits


AARP offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including a 401(k); 100% company-funded pension plan; health, dental, and vision plans; life insurance; paid time off to include company and individual holidays, vacation, sick, caregiving, and parental leave; performance-based and peer-based recognition and tuition reimbursement.

For this position, we anticipate offering a salary between $63,000 to $73,500 per year. This role is also elgible to participate in an annual incentive plan with a percentage up to 12%. Bonus eligibility is dependent upon organizational and individual performance.
