We are seeking a qualified, dependable, and detail-oriented individual to join our medical team as a
Medical Scheduler in North Austin, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Answer a multiline phone, speaking clearly and in a mature, professional manner.
- Insurance Verification
- New patient consults (contacting insurance company; verify eligibility, ID numbers, mailing address for insurance company and etc.)
- Distributes confirmation and welcome letters.
- Demonstrate patience, compassion, kindness, and empathy. Provides clear explanations of appropriate patientrelated policies.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with established policies.
- Complete assigned worklog tasks accurately.
- Adhere to the company's Scheduling Guidelines. Reads, follows, and applies all appropriate procedures and protocols.
- Effectively communicates with all providers and staff members.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPIhealth.
Pay:
$17 to $20 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm
Location:
On-site in North Austin, TX 78757**
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience with insurance verification.
- Pain management knowledge a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical environment a plus.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal & written.
- Computer Savvy, Proficient in MS Office including Outlook, and ECW or similar Electronic Medical Record platform.
- High attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to work in a high volume fastpaced, team environment.
- Ability to exhibit core values (Honesty, Respect, Teamwork, Professionalism, Confidentiality, Quality of Care) and regularly encourage others to do the same.
