- Assist in the preparation and presentation of financial statements and reports.
- Support the close process and ensure accuracy in financial activities.
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger and tax compliance.
- Enhance internal controls and policies to optimize financial management.
- Collaborate with external auditors and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in budget planning and analysis, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Supervise and coach team members to foster a high-performing finance department.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA or Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of ten years of accounting experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Strong financial planning and analysis skills.
- Proficiency in GAAP and financial software.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience in grant-funded projects is a plus.
