Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company receives payment for purchased products. You will also be providing clerical support to the finance team.


Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting preferred
• Accounting related experience preferred
• Excel spreadsheet skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal skills

Job Duties:

• Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and trasactions related to accounts receivable.
• Creates adhoc invoices as needed according to company paractices and submits invoices to customers.
• Drafts correspondence for standard pastdue accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts and contacts customers to request payment.
• Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
• Researches customer discrepancies and pastdue amounts with the assistance of the finance and customer service staff.
• Prepares account analysis and reconciliations as needed to assess and ensure completeness and conformance to SFF's standards.
• Prepares and records bank deposits. Explain monthly financial reports and transactions as requested.
• Provides support and acts as backup for other Accounting and Procurement department personnel as needed.
• Assist in the monthly and yearly close, annual budget, and audits.
• Helps with implementation of new systems. (IT knowledge a plus.)
