As the Marketing Director, Hepatology you will be responsible for launch planning and execution for linerixibat, a designated orphan drug being developed for the treatment of cholestatic pruritus associated with primary biliary cholangitis.

In this role you will lead all US marketing launch strategies and tactics including pre-launch disease awareness and patient empowerment, as well as preparations for post-approval product promotion to health care providers and patients.

You will lead and work collaboratively with the commercial team and will play a critical role in integrating the execution of the marketing plan across multiple customer segments and indications.

You will work in close partnership with team members supporting other pipeline hepatology products, the global brand team, cross-functional matrix teams, and copy approval team.


This position requires strong leadership in many areas, including clinical acumen, building commercial strategy, creating tactics to support strategy, developing KPIs and measurement plans, and cross-functional collaboration.

You must also demonstrate an ability to motivate the internal organization around the first product launch in a promising hepatology portfolio.

The specific accountabilities of the role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain a detailed understanding of disease and competitive marketplace.
  • Define customer insights, journeys, and segmentation; product positioning; creative strategy, core messaging and content plans; integrated, cross channel promotional mix.
  • Cocreate promotional materials with the global brand team and execute promotional plans and programs ensuring consistency with our strategic launch plan.
  • Define KPIs and analyze performance of key commercial programs on an ongoing basis.
  • Cultivate relationships with field force and external customers, develop deep market insights, and customize commercial strategies across various customer segments.
  • Provide strategic leadership and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage partner agency relationships, workflow, and related expense budgets
  • Foster an environment of innovation, inclusion, challenge, trust, and development.

Basic Qualifications:


  • BS/BA with 8 years commercial experience including marketing, or sales.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in US pharmaceutical/biotech inline brand marketing.
  • Minimum of 2 days per week in office required.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestic travel.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Launch experience/demonstrated ability to shape the market and utilize innovative go to market approaches.
  • Experience in Hepatology, Specialty and/or Rare Disease experience a plus.
  • Previous People Leadership Experience
  • Global brand experience
  • Experience in strategy development and execution.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical skills, balanced with strong operational experience.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of US Pharmaceutical channel, pricing, and market access strategies.
  • Broad commercial experience, including:
  • Brand lifecycle management
  • Senior leader engagement
  • Matrix team leadership
  • Customer insight, messaging, campaign, creative development
  • Budget management; P&L ownership
