Staff Accountant - $90k/year (Private Real Estate)

Our client is a leading U.S.

alternative asset management company with a vertical integration strengthened by more than 600 real estate professionals in over 30 offices nationwide who manage over $33 billion in assets under management and leverage more than 35 years of institutional experience in buying, selling, financing, and operating CRE.

This commercial real estate is looking for a Staff Accountant to perform accounting and support functions for private capital entities, including joint ventures, that invest in real estate.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities

Maintaining general ledgers by proposing and posting journal entries for all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close processes
Preparing account reconciliations, debt compliance, and financial reporting for private capital entities and the underlying properties
Assisting in the annual external audits of the private capital entities and the underlying properties
Supporting various ad-hoc financial analyses and other projects

Staff Accountant Qualifications

3 years of accounting experience; CPA is preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Experience with private real estate funds and/or the private equity industry is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Yardi
