- Reports to: Principal
- Meet requirements of a Kansas Teaching License
- Knowledge of the Common Core Standards- intervention strategies- assessments- and intervention resources
- Ability to communicate effectively with students- school personnel- and parents
- ESOL endorsement preferred
- Prepare and deliver targeted instruction in a small group- individual- and/or classroom setting
- Deliver and use assessment results to diagnose areas of deficit and make instructional decisions that address students' weaknesses
- Use research-based strategies that meet students' learning needs and support core instruction
- Coordinate planning and communicate students' performance with teachers- instructional coach- principal and curriculum coordinator
- Use district-approved instructional resources- which includes both primary and supplemental resources
- Monitor and maintain accurate records for reporting student progress to teachers and parents
- Assist in the assigning and scheduling of students
