Weekends and Evenings 3-4 shifts/ week

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This list represents the types of duties required by the position. Other duties may be assigned as reasonably expected.

  • Inspects condition and cleanliness of facilities; prioritizes cleaning based on facility usage and custodial standards.
  • Clean and service restrooms, hallways, offices, common area space and waiting areas.
  • Clean, sweep, scrub, buff floors.
  • Dust and clean windows.
  • Empty trash receptacles throughout offices and production areas.
  • Picks up litter from the grounds and around buildings.
  • Loads/unloads, stocks, inventories, organizes, and/or distributes supplies and equipment to/from various sites.
  • Maintains clean and safe work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Be able to communicate with the public as needed, good customer service.
  • Set up and tear down equipment, tables, and chairs for events and rentals at Howard Park Event Center.
  • Read seating diagrams and prioritize set up schedule.
  • Keeps and submits daily records to the supervisor of completed work.
  • Opens and closes, locks and unlocks, arms and disarms facilities as needed.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty in a satisfactory manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • At least a yar of experience/training in a custodial, hospitality, or related field preferred.
  • Must be a selfstarter, punctual and reliable person willing to be a team player.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Working knowledge of equipment, materials, and supplies used in custodial maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and to complete daily tasks on a priority basis and according to the assignment schedule.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods, perform physical labor.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact with and assist customers and coworkers and maintain positive and ongoing working relationships.
  • Ability to alter work schedule upon request from the manager.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATION:
Valid Driver's license required.


EQUIPMENT:
Auto scrubber, vacuum cleaner, broom, mop, dusting equipment, snow blower, snow shovel. Hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, and vice grips. Vehicles such as trucks and cars.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outdoor weather conditions.

The employee may work in highly precarious places and may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration.

The noise level is moderate, except when operating power equipment.
