Description

JM Wilson is a Managing General Agency and Surplus Lines Broker providing independent insurance agents with access to specialty markets.

• Create new claim records and new loss information from agents and carriers.
• Locate and verify information.
• Review incoming and outgoing documents.
• Document authorizations or escalations.
• Process claims payments at the direction of claim handler.
• Assist with customer billing or claims questions.
• Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain daily workflow by analyzing, handling, or forwarding daily tasks for processing.
• Meet service standard requirements.
• Reviewing first notices of loss for missing information and contacting agents to complete.
• Notify JMW leadership of large loss claims through imageright tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and refresh Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the claims and Personal Lines departments.
• Performs other duties as requested.

• Strong communication skills.

• Good time management skills with ability to multitask.

• Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.
• Prior claim assistant or underwriting assisting experience preferred, not required.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
