Description
Provides one or more of the following services: individual therapy, couple's counseling, and/or group counseling in a private practice setting.
Provide services to adults, children, teens and / or families.Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct intake interviews and assess client's needs.
- Develop treatment plans and assess progress of treatment.
- Use evidencebased treatment approaches to treat a variety of clinical issues.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment interventions and make adjustments as necessary.
- Write reports, summaries, and other documents as needed.
- Maintain appropriate mental health records.
- Comply with legal, ethical, and professional standards.
- Assess and manage mental health emergencies.
- Facilitate coordination of services for clients and provide referrals as needed.
- Facilitate group counseling services and workshops.
- Comply with practice policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Doctoral or Master's level degree in mental health.
- Licensed to practice in the state of Texas (full)
- Must have own liability insurance.
- Two years of experience providing psychological or mental health services.
- Ability to use Electronic Health Records.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or other languages (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
