- Assist in the monitoring and analysis of monthly close process including deep dives into financial variance drivers and preparation of financial summary exhibits for management
- Lead the organization and tracking of long-term financial goals previously communicated along with continuous updating and communication of how financial projections evolve and compare to goals over time
- Analyze and project line of business membership expectations in partnership with department and actuarial team members
- Oversee department admin budget of approximately $75 million including analysis of actual expenses to goal and long-term projection of expenses
- Partner with team members to analyze long-term financial value of various member cohorts to drive maximum financial value to organization
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or a related field
- 5 or more years experience in finance/accounting
- Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, and Access, SQL, and multi-dimensional databases
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytic skills with attention to details
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, actuarial background or a related field
- Previous health insurance industry experience
- Experience with SAS or other relational databases
- Familiarity with pulling general ledger data and working with Essbase/Smart View

The Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Professionalcollects, compiles, verifies, and analyzes financial information and economic indicators so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions on, for example, acquisitions, investments, capital expenditure, divestitures, mergers, or the sale of assets. Analyzes the financial implications of proposed investments or other transactions so that senior managers can evaluate alternatives against the organization's business objectives. Evaluates industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium, and long-term financial and competitive position. Analyzes revenues, expenses, costs, prices, investments, cash flow, profits, labor market trends, inflation, interest rates, and exchange rates. May involve financial modeling, reporting and budgeting as well. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
The workstyle for this role, if one lives within a commutable distance (within 50 miles) to the downtown Louisville, KY office, will be hybrid home - 1-2 days in office. If one does not live within a commutable distance to the Louisville office, the workstyle will be fully remote.

At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
• Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
• Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
• Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
• Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$76,800 - $105,800 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
