The Studentenwerk Erlangen-Nürnberg is a modern public service company.

With around 300 employees, we advise, support and provide for 70,000 students at eleven universities in Mittelfranken, Eichstätt and Ingolstadt.

We operate 25 canteens and other university catering facilities, 21 residential complexes with 3,600 places, the Office for Student Financial Aid, and we also manage 5 day-care centers for students' children.

In addition, we offer a wide range of counseling services and cultural activities for students.


We are currently looking for a
Deputy Manager (m/f/d) to join our Mensateria in Nuremberg, starting immediately or by arrangement, on a full-time basis.


Your tasks:


  • Preparation and serving of meals
  • Support for events, occasionally also in the evenings or on weekends
  • Active planning and participation in daily operations
  • Support for administrative tasks in the merchandise management system after training
  • Representation of the canteen management in cash reconciliations, cash management, shift schedules, orders, and communication tasks

Your profile:


  • Successfully completed vocational training in the field of kitchen, system catering, or household management, ideally with experience in communal catering
  • Positive appearance and enjoyment of interacting with guests
  • Physical resilience, flexibility, and initiative
  • Good German language skills, both written and spoken
  • PC user skills (MS Office) and willingness to familiarize oneself
