Job Summary:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients regain movement and manage pain.

Your role will involve assisting with exercises, providing hands-on therapy, educating patients on proper techniques, and documenting patient progress.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist physical therapist with developing and implementing treatment plans for patients
Monitor patients during therapy sessions and document their progress
Instruct and assist patients with therapeutic exercises
Administer modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation
Educate patients on proper body mechanics and exercises to prevent future injuries
Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care
Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
Keep abreast of best practices and developments in physical therapy

Qualifications and Skills:

Associate's degree in physical therapy assisting
State licensure or certification as a physical therapy assistant
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Physical stamina and strength to assist patients with mobility
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Attention to detail and strong documentation skills
