    Responsibilities – Duties:

    • Place purchase orders, monitor deliveries, as well as maintaining and updating stakeholders as needed.
    • Receive and verify purchase requisitions for accuracy and authorization(s).
    • Manages vendor relationships which includes a variety of skills, some being negotiations, on time deliveries, product quality, and keeping accurate vendor records.
    • Understands planning and the day to day purchasing to support company goals.
    • Partner with Quality on new supplier qualifications and managing any vendor issues or concerns.
    • Assist in evaluation of inventory reorder levels and quantity price breaks to determine the most economical purchasing of inventory and supplies in relationship to company's cost of capital.
    • Market knowledge of raw materials, logistics, manufacturing, and their impact on product costs.
    • Recommends best practices and ways to streamline the reporting activities.
    • Works close with operations, production scheduling, accounting, and shipping.
    • Analyze and evaluate inventory problems and recommend solutions.

    Qualifications - Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain management is strongly desired.
    • 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, production planning, inventory management, or in a manufacturing, distribution, or inventory environment.
    • Experience buying corrugating/packaging materials and/or various chemicals is a plus.
    • Experience working with ERP systems is required.
    • Computer savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Ability to work independently and also work collaboratively with a team.
    • Proven ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and non-concrete variables.
