GAL Manufacturing is looking to fill the position of Production Worker, who under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager will primarily be responsible perform in a fast-paced manufacturing plant, have outstanding communication, and strong work ethic.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/ GED
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
- Basic mathematical skills
- Must be able to understand and follow work procedures
- Must be able to adapt to changes and direction of the daily production
- Must be able to lift over 50 pounds
Duties and Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
- Use various measuring tools such as caliper, micrometers, and tape measures to accurately measure parts.
- Set up and operate equipment to meet facility goals for safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.
- Perform changeovers as required for all manufacturing equipment.
- Adapt to changes and directions of daily production.
- Meet hourly and daily production targets.
- Complete and pass training for forklift and passenger wagons and die change over.

- Salary for
New York Based Applicants:
$16.00 an hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation).
- Weekly Pay
- This is an Hourly position with overtime available
- After 90 days, this position will be eligible for benefits through the IBEW, Local 3 Union
- Paid time off is granted as per union contract
- Commuter Benefit

- Based in Bronx, New York
