    Description

    Job Summary:

    Join our team at Kaiser as a Psychologist - Adult Generalist. In this role, you will provide mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services for adult and/or child members with a wide range of mental health needs.

    You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and direct individualized treatment programs for each member.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate clinical treatment programs
    • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups
    • Administer specialized therapeutic procedures
    • Conduct psychological assessments
    • Collaborate with physicians in evaluating patients for psychotropic medications
    • Utilize community resources to meet members' treatment needs
    • Provide clinical supervision to psychology trainees
    • Report safety concerns to relevant agencies

    Secondary Functions: Adult team therapist specializing in individual, couples, and group therapy. Variable hours.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Experience: N/A

    Education: PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited institution. Must obtain Psychologist License (California) within 6 months of hire.

    Additional Requirements:

    Must have familiarity with DSM-V for diagnosis and experience in treating psychiatric conditions. Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice, psychotherapy research methods, and bio-psycho-social functions related to mental health. Ability to diagnose patients accurately, develop treatment plans, and conduct psychotherapy.

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Must adhere to professional ethics and demonstrate a commitment to quality service and teamwork.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Previous crisis intervention and psychotherapy experience preferred. Demonstrated competency in psychological evaluations of various demographics and a commitment to quality service.
