Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Public Health, or other related field
  • Knowledge of available housing resources including sober homes, and recovery programs within Massachusetts
  • Experience working with the HIV, homeless, and substance use/recovery communities
  • Excellent oral, written and computer literacy skills
  • Substantial organizational, documentation, observation and communication skills
  • Ability to identify and capitalize on trends and changes within the housing market
  • Ability to work with diverse communities
  • Ability to effectively interact and network with sector leaders and community stakeholders
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current proof of insurance required
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft word, excel, and other database programs
  • Bilingual individuals strongly encouraged to apply
  • Ability to work some late evenings and weekends.

Duties:


  • Advocate for and support eligible clients who are at risk of homelessness and or having housing difficulties. This includes identifying and securing safe, affordable, and habitable living arrangements.
  • Assist eligible clients to assess, evaluate, and identify barriers to their housing stability
  • Assist eligible clients in developing and implementing a plan to address identified barriers to their housing stability
  • Connect eligible clients to resources that address housing and other social challenges that impact their housing stability
  • Input clientrelated data into various agency databases and client charts
  • Prepare and circulate work related reports as requested
  • Facilitation of workshops, support groups and trainings
  • Support the leadership of AIDS Project Worcester to implement the vision of the department and the agency
  • Represent AIDS Project Worcester when working with other agencies and organizations to build collaborations
  • Attend assigned trainings, workshops, meetings, and other activities

Pay:
$25.00 per hour
