JOB SUMMARY:

Engage students with a strong working knowledge of high school social studies curriculum
Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning, and modify instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conduct individual and small group instruction as needed
Integrate the hallmarks of projectbased learning including connecting authentic work to the community and public displays and connections of student processes and products
Possess a proven ability to teach and interact effectively with students and their families who represent cultures that are diverse
Recognize trauma's impact on the brain and how to support and be responsive to all learners
Organize and maintain a system for accurate and complete recordkeeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws.
Collaborate with department and gradelevel peers in professional learning teams
