Position Overview:


Key Responsibilities:


Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all products comply with local, national, and international regulations.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory documents, including product registrations, notifications, and renewals.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and communicate potential impacts to relevant departments
  • 3rd Party Certifications:
  • Obtain and ensure timely renewal of 3rd party certifications in order to display certification seals on our product's label to help consumers make informed decisions.
  • Current certifications include Non-GMO Project Verified, MSC, NSF, Gluten Free, Certified Vegan, and Certified Paleo
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and inspections.Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain compliance
  • Labeling and Advertising:
  • Review product labels, marketing materials, and advertisements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance on permissible claims and substantiation requirements
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate regulatory files and records for traceability.
  • Create and maintain filing systems (electronic and paper) for all controlled documents.
  • Ensure proper documentation of compliance activities and decisions.
  • Build and maintain spec sheets via excel
  • Obtain Natural Product Number (NPN) for Canada shipments under the Natural Health Products Regulations, by providing all required paperwork (CofA, statements, etc.)
  • Crossfunctional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with R&D, Marketing, and Operations teams to integrate regulatory requirements into product development and marketing strategies.-
  • Provide Design with proper certification seals for labels and copy-
  • Provide regulatory input during product development and innovation stages.-
  • Serve as a resource for regulatory-related inquiries and guidance.
  • Other Duties as Needed/Assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance in the nutraceutical or dietary supplement industry. In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., FDA, cGMP, etc.) Experience in obtaining and renewing 3rd party certification. Experience on obtaining NPN numbers for Canada. Intermediate Excel skills. Reading and writing in English. Strong understanding of product labeling requirements and substantiation of health claims. Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in regulatory software and tools
