- Aggregate data and compile monthly overage charges for infrastructure platforms to maintain existing reports for accuracy and timeliness of monthly billing
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to communicate with clients about their usage and potential overages
- Engage directly with clients as requested in response to inquiries about overage charges on their monthly invoice
- Provide detailed usage information for relevant services upon request to justify charges
- Develop documentation to help clients view and interpret their usage patterns
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and remediate discrepancies and disputes
- Work with other teams to resolve billing inquiries in a timely manner
- Work closely with platform engineers to continuously improve existing reporting and develop new reports for new products.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring they are satisfied with their experience with Expedient
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, computer science or related field preferred
- Exposure to billing and accounting processes
- Experience researching and reconciling client accounts and/or data
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of subscription or consumption-based billing
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with empathy and patience
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in the cloud services industry
- Experience with billing systems and tools
- Knowledge of cloud services and digital infrastructure
- Familiarity with concepts such as burstable bandwidth, Windows licensing, Zerto disk usage, Commvault disk usage, VMware burst, and other cloud service billing components.
- Knowledge of Elastic as a reporting and trending tool

Job DescriptionExpedient is hiring a Cloud Consumption Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining existing and creating new cloud usage overage reports. You will work directly with Expedient's engineering team as new products are released. This position will be the primary line of support for our clients regarding any consumption overage charges on their monthly bill. You will need to develop a strong understanding of our technical cloud services. Excellent communication and customer service skills are necessary as you will be instrumental in helping Expedient clients better understand their cloud usage data.This position is available in Expedient's Indianapolis, Indiana data center.
