Forklift Operator


Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator will operate an industrial forklift truck to accomplish various materials handling assignments.


Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations including machines, loading docks, container, trucks, and storage areas.
• Obtains production schedule and/or shipping orders and then identifies, verifies, and transports requested raw materials, equipment, or processing materials accordingly.
• Applies understanding of machine loading capacity and loading schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of required items.
• Uses protective materials and strapping equipment to protect and secure loads; once delivered, removes strapping and wrapping, then safely disposes of waste materials in designated containers or areas.
• Reports any problems with materials or transportation to the supervisor.
• Manages and piles drums, skids, pallets, and other supplies in specified areas.
• Services equipment as needed, reporting mechanical or electrical difficulties to the supervisor.
• Update inventory record in the company software to reflect material movements and staging activities.
• Performs other related duties as requested.

Job Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to handle equipment and forklifts safely and sensibly.
• Experience with Raymond Reach trucks.
• Valid state motor vehicle operator's license.
• Certified to drive a forklift or ability to attend and pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an onsite test.
• Ability to maintain singletask focus and situational awareness.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of experience in a production or warehouse role

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly.

Pay:
$ $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week


Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Monroe Township, NJ 08831: Relocate before starting work (required)
